Which would you choose? Staying in present job that is comfortable or jump to a better company with higher pay+benefits but more politics?

Never underestimate the kind of mental damage that politics and overwork can do to your well-being. This is unquantifiable.

If you translate that into more doctor visits or more money spent to make yoursel feel better, then on a net-net dollar value basis actually present comfortable job "pays" you more.

Comfortable more than the other. I left a comfy job for more money but you always will have some regrets during the adjustment period. Must know your own career and WLB goals well.

Depends on your short and medium term goals.

If you do decide a change and decide your endurance could not take it, you may want an exit plan.

I would stay in a comfortable job. Politics is too much for me.
