Apologize but your question is too narrow.
Our insurance is just as good as the counterparty, Aviva has better credit rating than China Taiping so I will go with Aviva.
But I may want to hear your opinion how you are decided with Wholelife (is it for your newborn ?) and any screening criteria that you arrived with those 2 (Aviva and China Taiping).
I am a young 26 yo, and i way prefer term compared to whole life. In whole life, you are building up cash value, but if you need it, you have to borrow and pay interest on your own money (it sounds so absurd).

Multiplier - both are giving x4 coverage. No comparison.
Premium payment terms - both are giving the same payment terms. No comparison.
Income payout option - Aviva has an option to pay out cash value in the later years while China Taiping does not. Aviva is better.
Critical illness rider - Aviva has the Multipay Critical Illness rider which is the most comprehensive in the market. Up to x9 multiplier. The number of illnesses that are covered by both Aviva and China Taiping is 159 and 161 respectively.
As a representative of both insurers, I can generate quotes for both if you provide me with more details. βββ
