Personally, use Metamask wallet. It's built as a browser extension (I use it on Brave Browser). Quite easy to use and so far seems secure. Other reputable online wallets include Exodus Wallet and Trust Wallet.
For cold wallets, the go-tos are Ledger and Trezor. Both are compatible with Metamask as far as I know.
Side note, Brave is great bc it blocks ads and allows you to earn crypto (BAT) if you voluntarily allows ads. More than that, Brave also detects typos in popular crypto sites. For example, Metamask's official site is metamask.io. But if you click on a spoof site say metamaskapp/.io, Brave will issue you a warning, to confirm if you're going to the right site.
