Which brokerage firm has the lowest fees if I want to buy Nio shares?

Hi, I would like to buy Nio shares. Which brokerage firm should I set up my acct with the lowest fee? And do I have to have a multi currency acct as well?

Hi , let me congratulate you on starting your first investment stock .

I would however recommend you to relook into your directions and your reason for going for nio . assuming this is your first stock as you've never had a brokerage account before , you should determine your own risk apetite as nio isnt a beginner stock , moreover it is still in the china market , so it does not move as smoothly.

A few options you would decide on your broker is entirely what you are willing to pay for ( platform fees , monthly fees , currency exchange spread etc.)

If you want a more straight forward answer , I'd recommend tiger broker for it's lower cost fees per share (1.99 usd/ share)

If not , do your own research into brokers like interactive brokers , td ameritrade , saxo market , fsmone for starters. You do not need to have autli currency account , you can do the exchange from the broker itself.

Hi, if you're looking just for US access, TD Ameritrade has the lowest comms at the moment at $0 per trade! TD Ameritrade also has close to spot rates for FX, which means you can transfer your money in SGD and convert within TD.

However, since you're looking at NIO shares, I think the time frame might be important for you, and since TD Ameritrade does take a while to get approved (around 1-3 months), you might want to look at Tiger Brokers instead. Tiger Brokers has low comms of about USD 1.99 per trade (0.08%) and the approval is pretty quick (within the day).

If you're looking to trade regularly, Interactive Brokers is a good choice as well with comms at USD 1 per trade and they use spot FX rates as well!

If you want to look at more brokers, do look at my comparison here for more details!
