When IBKR say they charge inactivity for accounts with less than 100k, how is this 100k calculated?

Are they referring to the fund amount or total investment or both combined?

Can i just put in 100k into the fund. But not have to invest it all just yet?

They will use the Net Liquidation Value (NLV) to compute this. This means that uninvested cash will also count into this value. Do note that it is USD100k and not SGD100k.
