It's so great that you're asking this question now :-) There are a lot of things that you can do, especially online. Havd you looked into freelance writing or data entry? You can also try your hand at being a virtual assistant, especially if you think you're pretty organised. You can also sell stuff on Carousell, but this is a bit more ad-hoc than working shifts.

But like what one of the comments said, acads should still be a priority for you. My logic is that if you put in some effort into what you're learning, you'll figure out what you like/ dislike early on and that will pay off down the road because it says you time as well (some say time is an invaluable asset). All the best and I wish I had your initiative when I was your age!!

Study Hard, get proficient with programming and try Carouselling :)

Great that you're already thinking about this at a young age! For starters, being 13, you probably don't have much going for you (I assume). So like others suggested, to hone in on one particular skill that you're interested in learning - be it programming, videography, photography, fixing computers, copy writing and so on. You can find most of the resources readily available online and FREE.

Once you're confident enough in an area of expertise, start pitching and shilling your services/products to friends/families first. I would say sales is a skill that you'd like to master as well.

One way you can identify opportunities would be to look at your peers, listen to their complaints, and see if you can devise a way to solve it (for a price ofc)

Best of luck!

I was just thinking of this question a while ago. What would I do if I was 13 again? (I'm 25 now)

1) I would study hard, master the concepts of my school work and relate it to our world rather than studying for the sake of studying. This will open more opportunities for you down the road.

2) I would practice programming and work on individual or open source projects to build my skills and portfolio for the craft - this allows me / you to show future employers what you have/ can build. (Programming is also one of the highest paid craft out there)

Hey Lucas. At this age, I would emphasis more on learning, exploring your passion and most important...
