What's the eligibility criteria for HDB BTO Married Child Priority Scheme?

Can I ask if anyone has experience in applying for BTO under the MCPS scheme? Can I check if:

  1. Is there any letter I have to obtain regarding my eligibility for the MCPS scheme during BTO application?
  2. Is there any field to indicate during the BTO application?
  3. Must the applicant and the co-applicant be registered under the ROM, during the point of BTO application?

Hi anon,
The main criterion for the Married Child Priority Scheme (MCPS) is that the flat you're applying for needs to be within 4km of either parents' property.
Yeap, there will be a section for you to indicate if you are applying for any priority scheme, so you just have to select the MCPS.
No supporting documents are required at the point of the application, but you'll have to fill up the personal particulars and address of the parents staying within 4km. I suppose they'll check and verify the distance on their end?
I guess I was unlucky as I didn't even get a ballot with the extra chance from MCPS, but I've heard from other applicants that the parents will need to go down to HDB if the application is successful, and sign a declaration that they won't move house anytime soon?
As for your last question, it's the same as a general application without any priority scheme, you don't have to be registered under ROM yet.
Best of luck with your application!
