And index mutual funds are only traded for a price once a day,
index ETFs however throughout the day.
no need for index mutual funds (unit trusts) at all

Hi Anon,
As Chris and Frankie have both mentioned, index funds and index ETFs are basically 2 different investment products that appear to be very similar - 1 being a mutual fund (or unit trust in SG) and the other, an ETF. You can check out my guide on ETFs for a more detailed explanation of the difference between the 2!
