Hi! I’m completely new to the credit card miles game. I’m in my 20s, starting on my reno for my house soon.
What’s a good credit card to rack up miles?
Probably will get our furniture & electronics from places like gain city, harvey norman, ikea etc. Our total budget for furniture & electronics is probably 10-20k?

The truth is, there isn't much difference in this category.
Just pick a bank you like, a card face you like, and start building up your miles.
If you build up fast enough, you can choose a credit card that has points expiring in a few years. If you're less confident, a credit card with points that don't expire is better for you.
Nothing else makes much difference.

You can try to look at those uncapped miles cards. If able to split then HSBC Revo might be applicable for the first 1000

Hey there, congrats on the new home! Exciting times ahead with the reno and getting to pick out all your furniture and appliances. It's great that you're thinking strategically about maximizing credit card rewards on these big ticket items.
I recently had a young couple in a similar situation - first time homeowners looking to stretch their reno budget with smart CC hacks. We sat down and mapped out their spending, then matched them with credit cards that would net the most miles or cashback in the categories they'd be shopping most. By being intentional with their card strategy, they were able to rack up enough points for a nice staycay to christen the new place!
Some folks think playing the miles game requires a ton of cards or crazy spending. But the truth is, you can earn solid rewards even on everyday essentials like your home furnishings. The key is aligning your biggest expenses with the right card perks.
For furniture and electronics in the 10-20k range, here are some of the best credit cards I'd suggest for miles:
Of course, there's no one-size-fits-all "best card". It depends on your unique spending patterns and goals. If you need help picking the perfect card combo for your reno, I'd be happy to take a closer look together. Feel free to slide into my DMs @ngooooied and let's get you set up for miles success!
Happy renonating and miles hunting!
