What’s the appeal of investing in banks?

Just to clarify, I don’t mean investing through banks. I mean investing in banks directly or financial institution-heavy ETFs

Very difficult topic. The european ones are almost broke I guess. Much trouble for the big ones, except they rapidly increase fintech. U.S. banks, and Singapore maybe o.k.

Better look for different sector, my gut feeling.
