What led to Shopback and Seedly parting ways? Was it because Shopback wanted to sell Seedly or was it because Seedly wanted to leave Shopback to join another more complementary parent company?

Which was the first driving factor?

Hi there! Thank you for asking this question!

It is really a very relevant and succint one as well :)

To share, it was a win-win-win for all 3 parties involved

  • ShopBack is focused on ā€œSmarter Shoppingā€, which is domain-wise, quite different from the ā€œSmarter Financial Managementā€ that Seedly is focused on.

  • On top of this, as successful as the Seedly team and platform has been, it has been a Community + Singapore-only-based platform thus far.

  • For ShopBack, they are looking for a focus on shopping solutions that drive impact across the Asia-Pacific.

  • Hence we went out to look for partners in the Personal finance space who could value add in our journey and help us scale up the platform as well!

ShopBack has been a truly awesome company to work for/in. They have helped us so much in the past 2 to 3 years and we could not have been where we are today if not for them!
