What is the key difference between the AMEX Personal card and the Platinum card? Is one card better than the other?
This is my first time getting a credit card and I am thinking of getting an AMEX card.

The AMEX Platinum card definitely have more privileges than the personal card because after all, your annual fee is almost $1.6k more than the personal card.
On the AMEX Platinum card, you get $800 travel credits annually and even 75k membership rewards points when you spend $20k in the first 3 months. For the Personal card, it is pretty simple to earn reward points as well because you can get 2 membership reward points for every $1.60 spent.
For this being your first credit card, I believe the AMEX Personal card would be more feasible as the minimum spendings is lower and the card is simpler in general.
