I am not sure of your question. I do know for sure that there is someone out there with a crystal ball trying to answer your question, and that person, isn't me.
Observation - Private Equity folks are moving into Venture Capital and exploring new career opportunities after a stint in Private Equity.
So, maybe, what is worth going into would be an industry where your short-term benefits are aligned with the world's long term view, i.e. we don't know about that yet until it happen.
So my question to you,
What attracts you to Private Equity and/or Corporate Finance? What exactly would you want to get from a career in one of those fields? And think about your career options....
To the above questions, I had different answers at different stages of my life....from during university to after graduating....and later on, pre-MBA as well as post-MBA. And I never went into CF or PE. Life is good.
I am now on a gap year break trying to develop some soft skills by 10x.
