No-contract vs contract price plan
A no-contract price plan means that you are free to change your price plan, switch your price plan or switch back to SP Group on regulated tariff without incurring any early termination fees. This means that you are not bound or restricted to any type of contract or period.
A contract price plan means that during the contract period, if you wish to terminated your price plan while you are still in a contract. Termination fees will apply and is at $40 before gst per remaining full month for the balance of the contract.
Simply Ohm Price Plan (No Contract/Non-Standard Price Plan)
For Simply Ohm - You can think of this as Ohm Tariff in general. This is not a fixed rate. Instead, this rate is priced accordingly to market rate. The rate, as well as the monthly fee is subjected to changes (higher or lower) but we will inform you 10 business days in advance before we apply the new rates on your bill.
As Simply Ohm is a no contract price plan, a monthly fee will apply to this price plan due to this flexibility feature. At the same time, if at any point in time this price plan no longer applies to you, you can choose to change a price plan or switch back to SP Group on regulated tariff at no cost. However it takes some time for you to switch out of Ohm depending on what your would like to do.
A. It takes at least 5 business days to switch back to SP Group
B. It takes at least 7 business days for SP Group to close off your electricity account
C. It takes at least 7 to 30 business days depending on which retailer is taking over your electricity account.

For Market Ohm - Essentially we pass on the energy component and all third party charges to you without any markup. Market Ohm is a no contract price plan so we charge a small monthly fee for the flexibility of the contract. (Market Ohm is Wholesale Market Energy prices + all third party charges + monthly fee)
Wholesale rates is also known as the Uniform Singapore Energy Prices (USEP), this is calculated every half-hourly and you can find our more about this at www.emcsg.com
3rd party charges consists of Transmission Licensee's Charges, Market Operating charges and Market Support Service Charges.
We do offer a price-cap Option as going on wholesale prices means that you are subjected to price hike. This monthly cap that we offer is optional and can be added to your Market Ohm Price Plan. For less than a cent per kWh, you will never pay more for your electricity than you would have paid on regulated tariff (Energy component only)
