What insurance is needed for hiring S-Pass foreign workers?

You need 3 types of covers:

1. Foreign Worker Medical Insurance: MOM requires all foreign workers to be covered with at least $15,000 hospitalisation & surgery insurance.
2. Foreign Worker Security Bond: MOM requires all foreign workers to be covered with a $5,000 security bond. The only exception to this rule are for Malaysian workers; you don't need to purchase the bond if your foreign worker is a Malaysian national.
3. Workmen Compensation Insurance: If your foreign worker is a manual worker (e.g. cook, F&B service staff, cleaner, construction, etc.) then you must have a Workmen Compensation policy for them. This is also alternatively known as WICA Insurance.
