What are your thoughts on the Asian corporate culture of long working hours and how can we rethink and promote efficiency instead?
Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia generally recorded longer working hours with an average of 12 hours over their contracted hours, compared to Australia.
Good evening. It is not uncommon that Asian companies work long hours. In fact, high intensity companies tend to work longer, but flexible hours. Nowadays, many companies focus on improving worklife balance, be more flexible, focus on results and not just working hours. As for promoting efficiency, if there are good suggestions, try sharing them with your management, believe they will be happy to hear it. Thanks JULIE
