What are the benefits of creating an interactive brokers Singapore account if you already have an overseas interactive brokers account?

Hi i created an account for interactive brokers for the overaeas account, I heard you can create a singapore interactive brokers account and consolidate to have only one singapore account. What are the benefits of creating a singapore interactive borkers account and consolidating your overseas IB account? Able to call singapore IB support and not need to call overseas? I dont buy sgx stocks only overseas index funds

I think the only benefit is the ability to buy sgx stocks, other wise i don’t think there is a clear difference or incentive to create a new IBKR SG account. I guess it’s an optionality thing that people do just in case in the future they have a particular company listed in the SGX that they want to buy hmmm. I’m only using the overseas account as of now! Hope it helps.
