I think books by Lorna Tan will be a good start as she was a former Invest Editor for the Sunday Times. She now works for DBS - she posts articles occasionally. You can check if you like her writing style: https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/nav/planning-fo...
My friend gave me this book "What Your School Never Taught You About Money" by Dennis Ng. It was published in 2011, so certain pieces of information are dated. But being alien to the concept of investing, I found his columns very accessible and easy to understand.
