Me and my wife is planning to have our wedding on 2026 but my wife has not been doing well for the past 1 year and she's down to no savings and I'm just an normal employee with around $4000++ monthly and sustaining the both of us.
As it's a tough time and we have to plan our wedding eventually, is there anyone that can share wedding payment milestones with hotels? Is that negotiable and which CC to utilise for best rebates?

Weeding = intimacy of two people and two families meeting , not instagram/facebook feed. If you want to spend money, spend on videographer or photographer, Photos and videos don't change, you guys do ;)

How about having a simple unique wedding at the void deck instead of hotel or restaurant ?

If i may recommend the location for my wedding, we have it held at Song Garden Chinese Restaurant (Mercure Bugis), where they prepared 2 function rooms for us - one for solemnisation purposes, and the other for dining, which was able to comfortably accommodate 5 tables and some empty spaces for games and catching up.
Total cost was under $7k (purely on food and drinks), which could be brought lower if you are on a budget, considering we decided to add a suckling pig for each table and allowed our guests to have wines and liquor on our tabs.
More importantly, everyone loved the food, which help adds to the memories since not many wedding food tastes good.
For your consideration in case you don't require a big wedding :)

You can try to negotiate with hotels/restaurants for instalment plans. For a higher ticket item, it might be worth to use a miles card. but if you have to go for cashback it be 1.5-1.7%.
As with other advices, do something that is simple (perhaps not hotel) as it is not worth spending so much.
