We're a couple looking to buy our first home together but can't decide to go for BTO or resale. Do you personally prefer getting a BTO or a resale flat?

If your intent is to upgrade to a private property fast, I would pick resale. That's because the five-year MOP starts from key collection. If you wait four years for it to be built, your will wait nine years in total before the MOP ends.

Otherwise, BTO flats come in at a good price point, and are often cheaper to renovate.
