Ways to save more money for a University Student

I'm a 22Y/O, soon to enter University in AUG. Currently, my saving habits are;

1. Save up any & All $5 notes/week
2. Save up any & All new generation coin/day or week
3. After 6mth, convert all saved up coin ($1, $.50, $.20, $.10) into notes. (Usually amount is ~$100)

As of this post: My current saving amount is ~$2K after saving for about 6~8mths since last NOV/DEC.

I'm looking to save up $5K~$10K by the end of my University studies (4Yr).

I'm looking into more ways to save more money and would like to learn more saving hacks from all the Sensei within this community.

Also, is it appropriate to place my savings in an cash management account or just place it in a bank acc will do?

I'm thinking of adding more saving habits by:

​

1. Save $2/Days
2. Create an Excel Sheet to record my daily/weekly/monthly/yearly savings. But unsure what template to use.
