US stocks and how to invest in them?

So recently I been wanting to get in to us stocks. And information is all over the place. Wondering about taxes and so other then the withholding tax is there any other tax that new us market investors need to take note of? Secondly can someone shed light on ETORO from a Singaporean perspective. That can really be really helpful. Thanks!
