Just a novice here that started investing before COVID-19 came into play and bought Singtel at $3.10. While there are potential upcomings, there are also concerns over the losses in foreign investments and competition in the Telco area. Really unsure if I should hold onto it anymore. Is it good to maintain optimism and viewing it as "overweight", or we should just forgo and sell to stop the bleeding? nice senpais pls advice!

Indeed 5G might cause it to spike. But note that 5G is very very expensive to produce. Im not tech savy but that is what i read.
In the long run, i think those will cause the stock to spike. In the short run, in my personal opinion, a telcom company will always be capital extensive with plenty of competitors surrounding the company.
I did an in depth analysis on Singtel stock!

Singtel core biz is still telco. Not too worried about SG biz but their overseas associates are doing very poorly. 5G capex is very high but you don't see our telcos charging very much for their respective plans
Good that they expand out to different new sectors but ultimately none of them are growing very quickly. With digital bank, we might see something different. But it's too early to say.
