Undergrad, first time investing. Any tips or beginner’s guide to investing?

Currently earning roughly $500/month from my PT job. i wish to start to start investing, but not sure how to start off. i’m not much of a risktaker, so investing a large sum that might not give me positive returns might be a drawback of investing to me. which is also why i’ve put off the idea of starting my investment journey. i heard from others that etfs and robos are good to invest with, but i’m not sure how it works. would be great if i could get advice from fellow investors out there :)
