Trust Bank Savings Account 2026 — TurboSave 2% p.a. and What Code 2GG9T8K3 Adds on Top

Most Trust threads here focus on the credit card, but the savings account side has gotten more interesting this year and I don't think it gets enough attention, so here's a proper writeup — including where a referral code like 2GG9T8K3 fits in if you're opening a savings account rather than a card.

Base savings account: No minimum balance requirement, no monthly fees, interest calculated daily and credited monthly. Base rate plus bonus interest depending on activity (salary crediting, minimum spend on the linked debit/credit card, etc.) — historically this has stacked up to around 2%+ p.a. for people who meet the bonus criteria, which is competitive against the other digital banks here. SGD deposits are SDIC-insured up to S$100,000, same protection as the incumbent banks, so the "is it safe" question people always ask in the comments — yes, it's a fully MAS-licensed Digital Full Bank, not some unregulated app.

TurboSave (Sep–Dec 2026, invite-only): This is the one a lot of people are missing because it's not advertised loudly — check your Trust app for the quest/email invite. If you get it:

1. Create a savings pot in the app named exactly "TurboSave."
2. Deposit at least S$25,000 into it by 30 September 2026.
3. Maintain the balance from 1 October to 31 December 2026 — withdrawing during this window forfeits the promo interest for that pot.
4. Guaranteed 1.8% p.a. for balances of S$25,000–S$99,999, or 2.0% p.a. for S$100,000 and above, applied up to a S$1,200,000 cap.
5. Interest is paid as one lump sum by 15 January 2027, on top of whatever regular savings interest you're already earning throughout the promo period.

If you're already sitting on idle cash in a lower-yield account or a maturing fixed deposit, this is a genuinely guaranteed rate rather than a teaser rate that decays after month one, which is the usual complaint about digital bank savings promos.
