The IRAS website says foreigners can claim tax deduction of 2.5-3x the amount of donations made from 2014 to 2021. Does this apply to Cash Donations made to charities via platforms like Giving.sg?

To be more specific, if I donate $100 to a charity (which is a registered IPC) via giving.sg, will I qualify for a $250 deduction on my taxes? Also, is there a cap on the tax relief amount one can enjoy from donations?

As long as you have provided your details to the charity, it should be factored in.

Do note that the amount is offset from the chargeable income. It is not a direct deduction of the income tax payable.

You can use the calculator to find out the income tax payable after all the deductions and/or reliefs.
