Hi, 30M and got quoted premium of 1.7k for a critical illness plan covering ECI 150k + CI 150k, multipay up to 500% of sum assured, till age 70.
β
Is this a reasonable cost-benefit ratio?

$1.7k/year for ECI $150k + CI $150k with multipay up to 500% doesn't sound unreasonable, but whether it's worth it really depends on your age, coverage term, insurer, and budget.

Personally I'd compare it against a few similar multipay plans before deciding since premiums can vary quite a bit for similar benefits.

No its not reasonable based on "risk" for critical illness at that age, unless had poor lifestyle and childhood nutrient. This assuming person is working, so has company insurance. The CI cover is only until 70 years old, and think real high risk comes from 60-65 years and above.
