Spending ~4hrs travelling to work daily so thinking of getting a used car. I save about 20% of my income (mid 5k), single. But not sure if it's worth getting given the coe prices these days

There are other fees other than buying car, need to think about money spent on petrol, maintenanace, insurance also

Just continue taking public transport because the amount saved can be better utilised for other expenses instead.

I think previously, people have calculated that grabbing daily might be even cheaper than owning a car.

How come GOVT encourage people take public transport / saying public transport is accessible when there are peo[ple travelling 4hrs.. ?

Owning a car should be a human right. I rather you take 4hrs to travel in car, than 4hrs in public transport.

Worst still, high public transport fares and no seat...
