Should I transfer out whatever I have from my DBS Multiplier and change to UOB One?

Should I transfer out whatever I have from my DBS Multiplier and change to UOB One?

Currently, I'm

  • Salary crediting into my DBS account
  • Using DBS Altitude Card
  • Saving in Multiplier
  • Have GIRO running with the account

After last week's payment chaos, I have considered switching entirely to another bank.

Need some thoughts on this? Should I close my DBS account and change to UOB entirely? Or partially park some $$ in UOB...

Are UOB Credit cards better?

Better to have 2 accounts just in case 1 fail.

Currently uob one is giving 5% interest, the highest out of 3 bank, when u fulfil their requirement.

UOB does have a fairly accessible network of ATMs and online banking facilities. In fact, I argue it may be better than DBS in this regard.

Still, no harm in putting in only some monies into UOB and leaving a bit in DBS. DBS may have its issues now, but it does not mean UOB is issue free, although I do enjoy my time with them.

UOB Credit Cards suiting you depends on what you normally spend on. If you can, do an audit on your credit card statements (DBS Altitude Card expense items) and see if the Krisflyer or the UOB One card works better for your ongoing and future expenses.

UOB one account has the best interest in the market as long as you are able to hit its crtierias

I currently have both DBS multiplier and UOB one. I think diversifying bank account is impt in this ...
