Should i stay in my current job or go for higher salary?

My current boss is super nice and caring, the culture is not bad also. everyone is young (my age, mid 20s) and open-minded and everything is pretty transparent here. there's no politics within our team also (you guys may not believe it but it's true). it has good work life balance too.

however my pay is rather low. been in the workforce for 3 years but still earning below the market rate. i got a job offer with other company, big brand and it offers me 30% increment. and im not even sure of the culture there and am afraid that i might not like it there.

what should i do? i dont know if i can ask my current job to match the pay, but they seem to be on low budget also. should i change job? need advice please

Mid 20s still have a lot of time to try and change job if you don't like it, unlike ppl with family commitment there are a lot of restrictions when considering job change, eg cannot work OT for long, cannot travel, etc

imo, it's good to accumulate more work experience and 30% pay rise is really rare (either you are way too underpaid or the offer is really good), sounds like a good deal.

  • Sooner or later you will quit, if the salary dont match. 人往高处.

  • There is alway a risk u dont like the culture of the new company. But for your future,$$$$, u still have to hop and learn to adapt.
