I recently join a company as a senior manager. I found out that my subordinate got a pay increment and now is paid more than me. Should I negotiate for a higher pay?

Wait a while... Might not hurt to talk with your boss or HR, but don't focus on your pay just yet
I strongly suspect your next mission is to help transition and arrange for the work of this subordinate to be managed somehow after he / she is terminated for some reason.
