There are a few insurers who offer your targeted coverage. The factors of why you would go for a cancer only plan are three fold

  1. The premiums are cheaper than traditional CI coverage. This is due to the concentrated nature of offering claims for Cancer only.

  2. Underwriting. The underwriting nature of this product caters towards people who have health concerns and are unable to receive coverage from traditional products due to the coverage offered for issues like heart diesease and stroke.

  3. The underwriting limits for Cancer only plans are seperated from the traditional CI coverage, as such, it is a beautiful compliment to your existing plans if you have maxed out your CI limits set out by your age group.

The structure effectively strips out most of the ailments which hinder some people from getting full CI, while offering cancer coverage which is what most people are primarily concerned with, all while giving the consumer a cost-effective solution. This solution fills the gap for some people who have barriers to buying cancer coverage.
