Assuming I can afford private hospitalisation, still is it worthwhile to stick with as-charged enhanced medishield plan? My premium will 4x if I ever utilise the benefits to stay in private ward.

Question for the panel: why are the reasons for insurers to increase premiums for shield plan, include co-payment, claim limits? is not the principle and essence of insurance being risk pooling, the insurer should have calculated the risks before setting the premium.
