I understand that the sales proceeds earned has to be paid back into CPF to cover the principal amount used to finance the property and accrued interest which I would have earned if I had not utilised it.
What happens if the repayment period is more than 5 years and I choose to sell it immediately after MOP? Would I incur any penalty for early repayment?

There is no early repayment for HDB loan. If you choose to sell and move to a different flat, you can use the sales proceeds to pay for the resale levy (if you buy before selling).
