have anyone go into trading future index? Recently I attended a preview trading course by YCK at SGX Academy and found that his mindset and method of trading is worth considering. But the catch is his high price course and I am not sure if it’s just a marketing strategy or it’s worth attending. I hope to hear from everyone’s. Thank you in advance.

Hi Jill,

I have learned the ropes of trading certain futures products with elite traders and I am paper trading one particular futures on a full-time basis for over 8 months with some success.

Futures products are highly leveraged instruments and you must know your risk tolerance intimately. Depending on the futures product you have selected to trade, you will need to understand deeply who are the biggest players in the market and only trade very liquid products.

You need to find a broker with very very low fees too or else you will never be able to make any profit. Make sure your broker gives you an almost commission-free fee structure. Spend at least 3 months to master the trading platform and DOM, learning all the necessary features to safeguard your account in the event of a run-away price action. Always enter every trade with hard stops in place in case of a news breakout and can easily blow your account even if you are trading a 1 lot position.

The broker I use even has tons of safety nets I can define to ensure that I do not overtrade, exceeded daily loss limits, position lot limits, product lockdown etc etc. Use all these features even if you are paper-trading and you will thank me when you go live.

Take care and be safe.

Yours Sincerely,

SG100

Perhaps you can find similar strategies on books or google. There are many courses which teach trading strategies found in books. Usually they make it easier to understand or condense all the book's contents into the course.
