I am 23 male non-smoker and was quoted $3.9k/yr for whole life policy. The benefits are $100k sum assured with 5x multiplier until 65, 25 years pay; with 100k & 50k sum assured crisis care & early crisis care respectively, also 5x multiplier with 25 yrs pay. Is it worth it? I am currently a student and get $2.8k a month. Thanks in advance!

Hello! Firstly, good for you on taking the steps forward to get yourself insured!
Like many who have commented, the coverage seems unnecessary high for you at this point of time. And there are some amendments which will make the coverage a lot better. Such as increasing the multiplier benefit expiry age.
I would recommend doing a comparison with other available products that could potentially achieve similar coverage so at least you know what you are getting into and not rush into commiting to this policy as many would say, buying a policy is a long term commitment.
Otherwise, glad to see someone of my age doing good with what they have, hope you get the answers you need here!
Cheers!

Hi, I think it's too much for you right now, considering that you do not have dependents.

Hi Pham,
Hmm... honestly that feels like a stretch... Also having the multplier only till 65 seems a little short sighted; personally I would rather stretch the multiplier until 80 instead, and also 100k does seem feasible, but of course there might be other factors that we aren't aware of that might have been discussed and mentioned, unless you would like to have a 2nd opinion or review?
