Most people don't have a passion or don't know what their passion will bring them. Some passions may not bring in money for a long long time.

What do you do then? Definitely you will go for financial security. Buttttttt, make sure you find what you love. Sometimes that financial security will bring you your greatest passion but true financial security is when you can work without pay and still be able to survive and be wealthy.

So I have not answered directly but the short of it is, "Do both or one or the other at the same time." In time, you will definitely be financially secured and then you can pursue your passion once you have financial security.
