Anyone has been through a similar situation. If I were to go and take my MBA I would lose out on the opportunity cost of earning a salary and bonus and promotion etc, vs getting an MBA which will get me more in the future, would appreciate some advice!

Hi Anon,
I feel like I am in great position to answer this (so does many of my classmates)
The short answer is straight-forward: Don't do anything
The long answer will dive into a philosophical debate about life, economics, business and what not. A few closed-ended questions:
Are you a non-business background undergraduate?
Are only seeking financial outcome as a result of a postgraduate degree?
Are you open to self-learning?
Say, your answers are yes, yes, and yes. Then, your solution is to self-learn. Simply because MBA programs are meant for networking and hopefully deriving a financial outcome from it (but I am an outlier in this case, sadly) and your learnings would be limited to undergraduate education year 1.
Oh well, I could go on but I hope you got an idea that it is all about your own situation and your available options.
Cheers,
Pascal
