Old ntuc incomeshield b ( with no exclusions) vs GE B1 plan with rider ( with exclusions of hypertension, disorders of the heart and cerebrovascular diseases)

Hi all, my dad is 72 years old. Considered healthy but only with the 3 highs. I helped my dad applied for an upgrade and only GE has offered him b1 plan recently with exclusions (as mentioned in title).

Should I switch him over ? If so, I may face a gap using medishield life if he is warded in b2 or c ward (assuming we take ge plan and hence need to take b2 and below ward). Will the hospitalisation bill for his excluded conditions be a hefty sum? Also, since medishield does not cover pre and post, with that amount to a huge sum as well ?

Need some advice here. Thank you

With such conditions, honestly it doesn't make sense to switch over to GE Plan at all, even with a different price. I would rather stick to the old plan so i know my coverage, rather than a better plan, but with more exclusions (which you wouldn't know which would apply). But that's for my own decision.

The only reason why you would want to cover is a peace of mind though.
