Need advice investing $20k over 12 years for son's future university fund. I've been setting $224/month for the past 8 years under AIA Family First. More details in the description. What would you do?

It has yielded $20k with 8% growth law the chart. My new agent recommends me to remove the insurance portion and reinvest into similar funds. Before I plunge into his recommendation, is there a better alternative for this financial noob to investing the $20k for the next 12 years?

Hi, i with AIA FAMILY FIRST SECURE for 9 years, previously the first AIA agent mentioned will break even on 5th year but even 9 years now, it widen the gap of the preniim invested. It seem cheated by such promise! the CI is only 60k , issit worth to continue or cancel!?

Hi Anonymous,

Since it is for education fund, be careful not to take too much risk till lost of funds required for education.

For low risk options with 12-year horizon, one of them is 2nd-hand endowment policy. Do speak with your financial advisor on its suitability.
