My wife & I bought a resale hdb abt 12yrs ago & now we've decided to purchase a bto hdb. Is it possible considering this is our first time buying bto. What are the things that we should take note of?

As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, there shouldn't be a problem. Just take that:

if you already used a HDB loan, then the amount you can borrow with your second hdb loan will be lower. A bank loan may be better than a HDB loan.
If you used a HDB grant, you will not be considered a first-time applicant.
