My mother has $100,000 which she has handed over to me to invest, how should I deploy it during this period? Does Dollar Cost Averaging downwards make sense?

What strategy should I adopt and which instruments should I invest in? (Stocks, Bonds or ETFs)

Hi Anon,

If you are unsure, DCA helps you acclimatise to investment volatility. I'd recommend to look very long term. This is a period of volatility and one month can be up and another month down.

I've this exact tutorial on How to Dollar Cost Average: https://youtu.be/QZarp30IiR8.

Hope it helps. If unsure look for me here https://theastuteparent.com/josh-tan or any qualified adviser to help you in your journey.

I am extremely weary in situations like these.

Is the amount used as a gift or is she the beneficiary?

If the latter, it would be better if you invest it according to her risk profile instead of yours.
