Both of us wore braces prior already, beside braces claims/buying an expensive pair of spectacles, how else can we maximise this benefit? Just to share, I usually spend $50x2 per year on dental cleaning services and buy contact lens/solution in JB as it is cheaper. Thank you all for your help!

It's a funny but true story, but I once had an annual benefit of $2k for dental alone and I would go to get my scaling done so often that my dentist asked me not to be lazy 😂

That’s a great benefit to have! To maximize the $700 dental and eyewear allowance, here’s what you can consider:
For dental care near me, besides the usual cleaning, you could think about using it for things like fillings, crowns, or even preventative treatments like fluoride treatments if recommended by your dentist. Markham Gateway Dentistry in Scarborough, for example, offers comprehensive care, so it might be a good idea to see if there are any treatments you can take advantage of that would be covered under your plan.
For eyewear, if you’re already getting lenses and solution cheaper in JB, maybe the allowance could go towards upgrading to premium lenses, anti-glare coatings, or prescription sunglasses. Some benefits also cover exams, so if you haven’t had a recent one, that could be a good use of the funds as well.
You could also check if any treatments or products like teeth whitening, mouthguards, or even orthodontic consultations are covered, especially since you've already had braces and may want to maintain your results.
Also, since both of you are already using the benefits for dental care and eyewear, you might want to schedule any extra visits or purchases near the end of the benefit year so you're using it all up!
