Any medical undertaking required and how much? What are the plans currently in the market that are ideal that I should be looking at?

Yes, medical underwriting is required for all health and life insurance policies.
You may wish to consider coverage from AIA Singapore. It has one of the most comprehensive coverage in the market, alongside with high annual claim limits, one of the longest pre- and post- hospitalisation coverage, as well as exclusive partnership with Medix, and WhiteCoat.

Hi Anon,
There definitely will be medical underwriting. Also in regards to how much the premiums will cost, I think you can do some research online or you could arrange for a meet up with an agent to show you the cost based on which agencies they represent and you can have a better idea on what makes the best sense for you.
Also due to the age of your mum, I believe that for the base plan, there will be a need to fork-out some cash. If you would like to have a meet up to be advised better, do reach out at http://tiny.cc/coffeebreak
