Career

Mid Career Switch life lesson.

Typical Singaporean life. After NS, start to pursue a career in Project Management then realized the pay was bad. Went into Financial Advisor firm and pay fairly well, 5 figures per month and was not happy even though I am earning high figures.

.Went back to Corporate to get a desk bound job, pay around $5300 per month so still manageble but...just damn sick and tired dealing with deadlines and rushing every single day for projects. Left the job.

.Went to an interview as Funeral Advisor just to try it out something new. Work for around 6 months..mentally and physically tiring but very happy with the job satisfaction.

  • Moral of the story; sometimes it is not always the highest pay that bring you happiness in your work life.
  • It is always human that make things complicated. Be Simple.

What is it about being a funeral advisor that gives you job fulfillment?

my lowest paid job was an assistant language teacher in Kumamoto, Japan, but it was easily the best two years of my life as I got to learn about a different culture and travel Japan extensively. So, it isn't always about money!

Actually i am also contemplating this...

Wow, it seems easier to find job. I plan to hope another job but difficult to find...
