Personally I feel that LinkedIn is a powerful career portal where you can directly connect and message the Hiring Managers to find out more (as opposed to passively waiting for a response after submitting your job application). Based on my experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Seedly, I spend most of my time on LinkedIn connecting with candidates as compared to other job portals.

Indeed has definitely more options available than LinkedIn so it would be good to check out other job portals rather than just focusing on one. Also, it would be good to check out your school's job portals for any good opportunity.

The best way to find a job is through networking – talking to more people and understanding more about the industry, the company as well as the job scope. Who knows, you might get lucky and get a referral in :)

All the best in your job hunt!

MBA Graduate at Singapore Management University

Hi Anonymous,

I am recent MBA graduate from SMU, and job hunting has been at the center of my life for the past 18 months.

The best career portal is your own portal, i.e. your contact list.

Once you've used up your contact list, platforms such as Linkedin, Indeed, Glints and even, Jobstreet will come handy.

If you are a recent graduate with zero to 3 years of work experience, you could still rely on your school's job portal.

Happy to share more job hunting tips

Cheers,

Pascal

Personally, they are not the best but good enough as long as they could help me in my job search. It is important to cast the net wide so I would not depend on merely one portal.

LinkedIn. More personalised. We are a global players so a more globalised platform would be nice...
