Just wondering, if you exceed the amount you can claim from insurance for medical bills eg cancer treatment, what should you do if you get denied financial assistance? how long can you delay payment?

Unemployed, eventually $10k savings will deplete due to prolonged treatment, already maxed out medisave withdrawals for the year
1) rent out or sell flat
2) pay installments ?
3) i think taking out a personal loan should be the last resort?
4) i think crowdfunding should also be a last resort.
any other self-sufficient suggestions?
