Is stamp duty required for a resale flat? Under what conditions are stamp duties not required to be paid by the home owner?

You still need to pay the Buyers Stamp Duty (BSD) for resale flats (yes, even if you receive it by way of gift). However, there is no stamp duty on inherited residential properties by way of a will, intetstacy laws, etc.
