Is it possible to get a free credit report in SG?

A copy of the credit report is available for free (within 30 days) when you apply for a credit card with most major banks.

If you're applying for a new credit card, you're actually able to obtain a free credit report from Credit Bureau Singapore using your approval (or rejection) letter within 30 calendar days! But that's assuming that you are planning to get a new CC.

Otherwise, it seems like HSBC has partnered with CBS as they've got an ongoing promotion until 29 Feb. It seems like all you need to do is provide HSBC with your personal details (incl. mobile number and current debts) to allow them to market their products to you for the next 3 months__. According to CBS website, your credit report won't be shared with HSBC.

I suppose it depends on whether you're willing to give up your number for a free report :)​​​
