Is it legal for a PR to own an overseas property in JB after fulfilling MOP of buying HDB in SG?

Stayed in the HDB for 20+ years in SG already, looking to own a house in JB for retirement next time. Need some advice :)

you can buy private property whether locally or overseas. The requirement is just that you have to continue to be staying in the HDB.
